Dining Services Aide – Supportive Living Community

Full Time Position: 3:30pm – 7:30pm | Combination of Day & Evening Shifts Consisting of

6:30am – 3:00pm and 11:00am – 7:30pm; & Rotating Holidays

Reports to: Director of Culinary Services

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Dining Services Aide works on the meal tray serving line, checking meal trays for accuracy. Assists the Cook as needed. Washes pots, dishes and silverware according to dishwashing/pot washing procedures and puts away. Cleans equipment and kitchen floor and refrigerators as assigned. Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work areas. Takes trash out to dumpster. Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator. Prepares nourishments according to procedures. Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste. Performs any miscellaneous work assignments, as may be required. Notifies Director of Culinary Services or Supervisor regarding supplies of poor quality or inappropriate items.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

·     Able to read, speak, and understand English, follow directions, and complete tasks.

·     Food Service Sanitation Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Experience:

Not needed, but preferred.

Physical Demands:

·     Ability to lift 50-pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50- pounds. Frequent stooping, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking required.

·     Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and dining service.

·     Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance.
